AmeriStaff Nursing Services Hosts Nightingale Awards Winner for Excellence in Post-Acute and Specialty Nursing
AmeriStaff Nursing Services, a division of AmeriCare Medical, in Troy Michigan presented the Nightingale Award for Excellence in Post-Acute and Specialty Nursing.
This year’s award winner was Pamela Laszewski, BSN, RN, OCN from the Karmanos Cancer Center.
“This year was the 30th anniversary of the Nightingale Awards. ” stated Greg Jamian, company President and Board member of Oakland University’s School of Nursing. “This is the equivalent to the Oscars of Nursing!”
Every year, this extraordinary event, recognizing nurses that have gone above and beyond in their pursuit of excellence, has garnered high praise from the medical community. Oakland University’s Nursing Program is noted as one of the top academic nursing curriculums in the country.
The nurses at AmeriStaff Nursing have participated in the ceremony over the last 15 years, validating their commitment to nursing quality and excellence along with the values that Florence Nightingale bestowed upon us.
The proceeds from the awards banquet help to provide scholarships for students, reasearch opportunities for faculty, and to obtain new technology and resources for the Nursing Program.
